I am new to this I recently got a Garmin Vista HCX. Do I need a memory card to use the New England Topo map? If not would it be better if I did load it on to a card?

I do not have the Vista HCX but if you want to load the entire map, it is very likely you will need an SD card. If you just load a small section, then it will likely fit.

I don't have Mapsource, is there a manual way to copy them to the microSD card for my Dakota 20? I have a directory there called Garmin with another map product. I tried installing Mapsource using the link and it worked but Mapsource is so buggy that I can't actually download anything.

Thanks...you guys rock!!!

What type of problems do you have with MapSource? You should figure out why it does not work for you.

It crashes when I try to download or upload. I have the new 2011 City Navigator coming when it releases so I'll wait until then to get an 'official' copy of Mapsource.

I'm using Windows 7, I wouldn't think that would be an issue.
