Youth Fishing Ponds in Akron Nearing End of Season
     

AKRON, OH – Young anglers still have two more weekends to enjoy the Division of Wildlife’s youth fishing area in the Portage Lakes of Akron. Occupying the grounds of the old Akron fish hatchery, the youth fishing ponds are open to anglers 15 and under through the Labor Day holiday on September 6. Equipment, bait, and assistance are provided at no charge thanks to the purchases of Ohio fishing licenses and federal contributions from the Sportfish Restoration Fund. More...
