I use Butch's Bore Shine.  It is both a cleaner and a copper solvent.  I know the copper solvent part works because the patch comes out green.  I also use a brass brush.  With Butch's product you save few steps because you do not have to dry the bore between the cleaner and the copper solvent.

just got some new stuff called Wipe Out. It comes out of the can like a shaving cream. You put the hose in the barrel and give it a quick squirt. Stuff foams up fast and comes out both ends of the barrel. Sure cleans it shiny and lots of crap comes out with a swab, but becareful of all the new cleaners out there if you have any plastic or synthetic material on your gun, it will eat it. Especially the black powder cleaners because that is part of their job to remove the plastic reidue from the sabots.
As for breaking in a barrel, i just shoot it and clean it as i would any barrel. Am i doing something wrong?

I have heard of this type of product but never seen it in action. How do you remove the foam when you are done?  Push a dry patch through the barrel?

it eventually breaks down and yes when you run a patch through it cleans it up. Kinda messy but just drop a rag under it and catch the crud.

I would clean it more often.  Shoot 3 to 5 bullets through the bore and clean it. It will be very durty.  After few rounds the barrel will shoot cleaner and then you are done.

How do you clean the chamber? I have a 30-06 and the barrel brush is too small for the chamber. Beside I cannot push a brush thru cause the neck and barrel is smaller than the chamber.

You can buy a special kit for your rifle. I know there is one for the AR-15. Otherwise you can get a chamber brush and chamber mop. Just make sure the chamber brush is small enough so you can push it AND pull it. You can find them at MidwayUSA in the gun cleaning section.

I saw on the Midway catalog a chamber cleaning kit. Looks like small brushes with long handle. I have not tried it. I use a large mop and brush attached to a short rod. That works for me.
Always clean the chamber before you do the barrel or you could push debris into the barrel, and use a bore guide to prevent debris and solvent to fall into the trigger mecahnism.
